O’s Notes: Joey is back expanding his reach into the blues on 40. His accompaniment is excellent with guitarist Rick Zunigar and Ramon Banda (d, perc). DeFrancesco delivers the pulses from both his old and the new custom crafted Hammond. He picks up the mic on “Gloria” but he’s at his best making the B3 sing and indeed it does on “I Got A Woman”. We also enjoyed Zunigar’s work complimenting Joey throughout the set notably on “Life is Good”.
